About Taxr
Taxr reads your tax documents and tells you, in plain words, what they mean and what to do next. Then it keeps going: it watches your refund, keeps your deadlines and drafts what you need to send. Since 2025, people have brought Taxr more than 100,000 files: IRS transcripts, letters, pay stubs, W-2s, 1099s and returns.
Who makes it
Taxr is made by Claimyr Inc in San Francisco. Claimyr also gets people through to hard-to-reach government phone lines, at claimyr.com.
What it does, and what it doesn’t
- It explains transcripts, IRS letters, pay stubs, W-2s, 1099s, returns, sportsbook and crypto statements and donation receipts.
- It shows the line on your document behind every number, so you can check it.
- It prepares; you act. It never files a return, contacts the IRS, sends a letter or moves money for you.
- It is not a tax preparer or a lawyer. For an audit, a court petition or a business with employees, work with a CPA or enrolled agent.
How it’s paid for
Taxr is free: reading your documents, every answer and every detail, and the work it does after (the refund watch, reminders, W-4 sheets, letter drafts and forms). Nothing renews and nothing is charged. Taxr never sells your information. See the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service.
