Taxr (Claimyr Inc) reads the tax documents you send and keeps your tax file for you. This page says what Taxr keeps, why, and who else sees it. Questions or a request to delete your file: support@taxr.ai.

What Taxr keeps

• The documents you upload, what Taxr reads from them, and the answers and documents it makes for you (W-4 sheets, letters, reports).
• What you tell Taxr, such as your filing status or how many children you claim, with where each fact came from.
• Your mobile number, if you sign in with one.
• If you link a bank: its name, and the transactions Taxr reads to spot your tax refund deposit.
• A record of your purchase. Your card is handled by the payment processor; Taxr never sees or keeps the card number.

Taxr never asks for your full Social Security number, your passwords or your bank login. Your bank login goes to Plaid, not to Taxr.

How Taxr uses it

Only to do what you ask: read your documents, answer you, keep your tax file and its deadlines, watch for your refund, and text you about them. Your documents and messages are processed by an AI model through a provider that does not keep them or use them for training.

Who else sees it

Taxr does not sell your information. It shares it only with the service providers that run Taxr for you: hosting, the AI provider, the payment processor, Plaid (if you link a bank), the texting provider and Hotjar (below), each only for that job.

Texts. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.

Watching how the site is used

Taxr uses Hotjar to see where its pages confuse people. On taxr.ai, Hotjar records visits to every page, signed in or not, including the screens that show your file: where you click and tap, how you scroll and move around, and the layout of each page. Hotjar is set to hide all the text on the page and not to record what you type, so the words in your documents, Taxr’s answers and your messages appear in a recording only as stars. Hotjar also notes the kind of device and browser you use and the country you’re in, and keeps its own cookies in your browser to tell one visit from another. The recordings are used only to make Taxr easier to use: never for advertising, and never sold.

Your choices

• Reply STOP to any text to stop Taxr’s texts.
• Disconnect a linked bank from the You page at any time; Taxr deletes its access when you do.
• Change or remove anything Taxr knows about you on the You page.
• Ask for your whole file to be deleted at support@taxr.ai.

How it’s protected

Files are stored privately under your account, and bank access tokens are encrypted. Taxr’s data is stored with Amazon Web Services in the United States. Your file is kept until you ask for it to be deleted: it isn’t removed when you stop using Taxr, so it’s still there next tax season. When you ask, we delete it and tell you when it’s done.
